Now boarding...! United Airlines is expanding its direct flights into the Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) this summer. They are adding routes from Chicago and Houston, in addition to the existing flights to Denver and Dallas.
The direct flight to Chicago will run from June 7 through September 1. The flight to Houston will operate from June 7 through Aug. 18.
Both the Chicago and the Houston flights will arrive on Friday and Saturday evenings and depart on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
United Airlines will also add an additional daily flight to Denver during the summer, increasing the total daily flights to Denver in the summer to four.
Many Vail Valley travelers arrive via I-70 from Denver, but those in the know can avoid unexpected road closures and congestion by flying direct to the Eagle airport and renting a car or arranging an airport transfer. The airport is less than 40 miles to Beaver Creek and Vail.
If you are flying privately, the Vail Valley has convenient FBO services. The Vail Valley Jet Center, located at Eagle County Airport (EGE), is known as one of the top FBOs in the country, often referred to as the “the Ritz Carlton of FBO’s”.
