If you are looking for night skiing in Colorado, Steamboat Resort is a top choice! Skip the crowds and enjoy the magic of nighttime skiing under the stars.
After-hours skiing at Steamboat is available Winter 2020/21 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m through Sunday, March 28, 2021. It is available as an add-on to your standard lift ticket, or you can purchase a nighttime ticket. Passes are $39 for Adults, $29 for Kids 5-12, $5 for Kids 4 & Under.
*Night Skiing is included on the Ikon Pass. With the Ikon Base Pass, Night Skiing is included on the same day you have used your pass at Steamboat (or you can use one of your ‘days’ to ride at night instead).
What can I ski or ride at night?
For night skiing at Steamboat, The Christie Peak Express high-speed chairlift takes you to the top of Christie Peak with access to five trails including Sitz, See Me, Vogue, Stampede and Lil’ Rodeo. These runs include all levels of skiing with two beginner, two intermediate and one advanced trail. This gives you 1,100 vertical feet of terrain to cruise under the stars!

If you decide to hit the slopes after the sun sets, here are some quick tips for night skiing:
It’s Colder (duh!) - Make sure you prepare for this with a gaiter, added layers to keep yourself warm and dry. Consider bringing an extra pair of gloves to swap out.
Lights – Use goggles that have lighter lenses such as yellow. Mirrored lenses can make it tricky to see when night skiing!
Icy – Beware of icy spots and ice chunks!
