Breckenridge consistently ranks among the top kid-friendly ski resorts in the United States making it the perfect destination for a family Spring Break ski vacation. The resort’s Five Peaks have cruising runs for everyone.
Here are our go-to groomers:
Where advanced-intermediates can get their first taste of high alpine terrain.
- Bliss - The name says it all especially when you catch it after it's been freshly groomed! A blue run that's mostly above tree-line so the views are incredible!
An intermediate’s paradise with perfect corduroy and wide rolling trails for cruising.
- Pioneer – Send the more novice in your group down this long blue...
- Angel’s Rest – ...and those wanting more of a challenge down this run...
...and you'll all meet up when the trails come together at the base.
This is the flagship base area with something for everyone. It's full of groomers and plenty of beginner terrain.
- Trygve’s – Perfect for beginners, this trail is gentle all the way down. The run is named after Trygve Berge who helped design Breckenridge Ski Resort and served as the first Ski School Director in 1961. Ski Classic Lodge is steps from this run.
- Four O’Clock - This run seems to go on forever...and it does...for 3 1/2 miles! It's the ski area's longest run. Starting at the top of the Colorado Superchair it starts out as a blue run then mellows out to a green about half way down and drops you in town. So, if it's four o'clock you may as well head to apres. For ski-in/ski-out access to Four O'Clock run, stay at one of these Moving Mountains homes: Majestic Mountain Lodge, Clifton Lodge, Chateau of Breckenridge or Pines 75 Townhome.
- Springmeier - A meandering green run from the top of the Colorado Superchair down to the base area.
- Duke's - You'll want to do laps all day on this blue groomer from the top of the Rocky Mountain Superchair all the way down to the Peak 8 base area.
Mellow learning terrain and family-friendly zones with beginner slopes at the bottom and wide intermediate terrain at the top. Every skier and rider in your group can go at their own speed.
- Silverthorne - Long and wide, the novices in your group will do laps on this green run all day...
- Frontier - ...or break it up with a run or two this green that connect back up with Silverthorne.
Smooth, steep groomers that aren’t for the faint of heart. You’ll be cruising at altitude!
- Doublejack - This black diamond leg-burner is a staff favorite when it's groomed. Get ready to fly!
The Moving Mountains complimentary shuttle will get you to the slopes from your luxury vacation rental home in no time.
