Powder days have turned to play days! Steamboat is celebrating the end of another epic ski season with a boatload of Springalicious® festivities, including the legendary Cardboard Classic, and a lineup of free music concerts. So, slather on the SPF, take some laps in the slush bumps, and get ready to party at one of these awesome spring events.
A can't miss Steamboat activity. Take the gondola up to Thunderhead Lodge and take in the scenery, enjoy the culinary delights, listen to live music, and toast to the sunset overlooking the Yampa Valley. Every Thursday and Sunday evenings 5-8pm through March 31.
Rock out in Steamboat Square on weekends in March and April. The Bud Light Rocks the Boat Free Concert Series features Boot Juice (March 23), Maggie Rose (March 30), The Goonies (April 6), The Lil Smokies (April 13) and The Wailers (April 14). The concerts are from 3:30-5pm.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, enjoy great music, craft cocktails and beautiful views of the mountain on the upper deck of The Range Food and Drink Hall in Steamboat Square. Join for apres from 2:30-5:30pm. On Saturdays the DJ will begin after the Bud Light Rocks the Boat Free Concert ends at 5pm.
Incredible Colorado bluebird sunny days, hilarious and fun events and a boatload of snow mean spring will shine a whole lot brighter in Steamboat-Ski Town, U.S.A.®. Steamboat celebrates the close of the winter season with a weeklong festival, including Springalicious festivities, fun events such as the Cardboard Classic and Splashdown Pond Skim and FREE music concerts.

The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat's traditional rite of spring returns to the Steamboat Ski Area for the 42nd year. This wild and hilarious race features homemade cardboard crafts, constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape, masking tape, balloons and other decorations, racing down Stampede to a hysterical finish. These ingenious creations make for an event not to be missed.
SPLASHDOWN POND SKIM | APRIL 14, 2024
The Splashdown Pond Skim Championship hits Steamboat once again. Celebrating another fantastic season at Steamboat, this event has antics like you wouldn't believe. The Splashdown Pond Skim brings brave (and slightly crazy) skiers and riders in costume with a dream – of crossing the icy pond successfully – and, if they're lucky, with style!
