Spilling the Beans: Our Favorite Coffee Shops

Joe, java, mud…whatever you call your cuppa, coffee gets us going in the morning and keeps us buzzing throughout day. Some grab a strong black coffee on the way to the ski slopes or trailheads; others sip on a mid-morning espresso in between meetings; and many savor a decadent matcha on a weekend.

Breckenridge, Steamboat, and the Vail Valley have no shortage of coffee (and tea) shops and our team definitely has their own rituals and favorites. Here’s where they go on the way to the office to get their caffeine buzz or linger over a latte on their days off.

Steamboat
"Beard & Braid has totally stolen my heart — it’s my go-to coffee house for everything from a quiet work session to catching up with friends and family. The local, welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to linger, and the menu is a dream. I’m obsessed with their cappuccinos, and the Lavender Green Tea is pure comfort in a cup. The Avocado Bagel is a must-try, and their selection of fresh baked pastries and muffins adds the perfect touch of sweetness to any visit. Whether you’re there to be productive or just relax, this place never disappoints." – Stephanie Stevenson, General Manager

"The Lavender London Fog at Beard & Braid is a must have for tea lovers.  It’s my comfort in a cup anytime I’m downtown. The kind of drink that slows you down in the best way possible." – Amy Davis, Director of Sales

"I love a Dirty Spicy Chai from Dusky Grouse (I love that place and all it stands for!" – Mallory McCall, Guest Services Specialist

"Great coffee, selection of record albums and always promoting ways to stay connected to our awesome community." – Kathleen Russell, Reservation Specialist

Breckenridge

"Best coffee, best drinks!!! " – Melissa Caton, Operations Manager

"I think Unravel in Gravity Haus has the best coffee (and great people watching)." – Mallory McCall, Guest Services Specialist

Vail & Beaver Creek

"Yeti’s Grind is a great local place for coffee and breakfast as well.  It’s a great way to support local business and they have a high-quality product.  Delicious pastries and breakfast items as well!" – Bobby Cornwell, Property Specialist

Located right in the heart of Vail Village, Two Arrows takes their coffee (and cocktails), culture and community seriously. I always grab an Americano to go on my way up to Gondola One. – Teresa Wiedel, Brand & Guest Experience Manager
