While our golf season might be short compared to more tropical destinations, we can say that waiting for the snow to melt in order to play one of Steamboat’s picturesque golf courses is well worth the wait.

You can get out your golf clubs as early June (sometimes late May)  and hit the links well into the leaves changing in the fall.

Haymaker Golf Course

In the heart of the Yampa Valley, Haymaker is a links-style course that blends in with the surrounding open space. Designed by Keith Foster, the course resembles the contours of the surrounding valley and mountains.

There are a driving range and a chipping/putting practice green, pro shop, and recently remodeled clubhouse with a restaurant and bar.

Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club

Located near the mountain base area, Rollingstone Ranch was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and features babbling brooks and streams as well as dramatic tee shots. The back nine was built around Fish Creek, just below the canyon.

There is a driving range, practice bunker, and putting green. The clubhouse has locker rooms and dining room.

Steamboat Golf Club

Located just west of town this 9 hole golf course borders the Yampa River. It is Steamboat's oldest golf course and features a new clubhouse with a full-service bar and restaurant.

Whether you’re having your best day on the course (or one that’s not so spectacular), you’ll be surrounded by beautiful vistas and breathing in the crisp mountain air. Even if you aren’t shooting birdies, you might still glimpse one or two in the air. Sandhill cranes and bald eagle sightings are often nearby to up anyone’s game!
