Getting to the Vail Valley by Road

Whichever way you plan to drive in, your car ride will be beautiful. The Vail Valley is surrounded by breathtaking mountain ranges and magical mountain passes. If you are the driver, be sure to bring or rent a car with 4-wheel or all wheel drive during the winter season as road can be snow-covered.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE DENVER AIRPORT

(2 - 2.5 hours in good conditions)

Getting to the Vail Valley from the Denver airport is easy! You will follow I-70W for almost the entire trip.

  • Follow Peña Boulevard until you merge onto I-70 West
  • Take I-70 West to Exit 176 for Vail and Exit 167 for Beaver Creek

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE EAGLE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT

(40 - 50 minutes in good conditions)

The Eagle County Regional Airport offers quick access to the Vail Valley. You can rent a car, or book a private transfer or shared shuttle. If you're taking a car, follow these easy directions:

  • Get on I-70 E in Eagle from Cooley Mesa Rd
  • Follow I-70 East
  • Take Exit 167 for Beaver Creek or Exit 176 to Vail
