Colorado Mountain Resort Guides

Ready to hit the slopes at one of Colorado’s world-famous ski resorts? Whether you're headed to the Champagne powder of Steamboat, the renowned Back Bowls of Vail, alpine charm of Beaver Creek, or the Five Peaks of Breckenridge, we are ready to welcome you. But with expansive terrain and multiple base areas, figuring out where to start can feel overwhelming. Our Moving Mountains guide will help you navigate your way around, from the moment you arrive to the end of a perfect ski day. From where the shuttle drops you off to the best spots for a pre-ski coffee, or a stop on the mountain to refuel, here are the essentials.

Steamboat Resort

Steamboat Springs is the home of some of the lightest, driest snow in North America, actually trademarked as Champagne Powder®. Over the past few years, Steamboat has expanded to become the second largest ski area in Colorado and boasts the longest and fastest 10-person gondola in North America. It has transformed its base area to welcome skiers and provide easy access to the lifts, and plenty of activities and restaurants.
