President's Day visitors are being graced with their very own Febru-buried experience.
To celebrate Beaver Creek's 40th Anniversary and this season-high snow dump, we're sharing some favorite Beaver Creek powder stashes - powder hounds rejoice!
With Beaver Creek's 1,832 skiable acres, 150 trails, and 24 lifts you are bound to find some favorite spots to ski some powder. Here are four favorites we'd like to share:
1. Stone Creek Chutes
Once considered out-of-bounds, this area was added to the resort in 2006. It's considered EX (Extreme Terrain) for good reason. You'll find lots of powder, cliffs, and pitches up to 45 degrees in the chutes. This is definitely steeps territory. Drop-in at any of the four entrances - two at Upper Stone Creek Chutes and two at Lower Stone Creek Chutes.
2. Strawberry Park
If the steeps aren't your thing, try this usually untracked tree skiing at Thresher Glade with thick stands of pine and aspen.
3. Birds of Prey
Steep and challenging, this World Cup men's downhill course will test your legs.
4. Grouse Mountain
You rarely find a line over here because this is steep, difficult terrain. You can also find some of the thickest pockets of trees at Royal Elk Glade and Black Bear Glade and some of Beaver Creek's deepest snow.
Now that you have some secrets, it's time to hit the slopes!
