The picturesque gondola ride from Steamboat’s base area to Thunderhead Lodge whisks you to the top of the mountain for an unforgettable evening. As the sun sets over Yampa Valley, you’ll be in a food and wine bliss. Only the best of the best wines will be featured here, along with impressive culinary feats from the top chefs of Steamboat Resort. This event is a unique chance to spend one-on-one time with your favorite winery, listen to live music, all while enjoying the remarkable views at the top of Mt. Werner. Along with a great selection of international and domestic wines, you will also have the opportunity to sample beers and fine spirits. This memorable evening makes the kickoff celebration the talk of the weekend.

Gondola Square
The Wine on the Mountain Kickoff Celebration doesn’t end after the ride down the gondola. Your evening is just getting started! We’re keeping the party going with a live concert in beautiful Gondola Square. Break out the pumps, track suits, and big hair and get ready to dance the night away to the great 80’s music of the 6 Million Dollar Band. No, Steve Austin will not be in signing, however they’ll heat up your 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon as you Footloose under the stars in Gondola Square. And because no one would pay to see us dance, we’re not charging either. This FREE concert runs from 7pm – 9:30. Premium wine, cold craft beer and cocktails will be available for purchase to help put a little giddy up in your step. What better way to kickoff the weekend and the 2016 Steamboat Wine Festival! Stroll of Steamboat

Downtown Steamboat
One of the signature events of the Steamboat Wine Festival, the Stroll of Steamboat takes patrons on a tour down Main Street and along the beautiful Yampa River to mingle, nibble, and sip wine, spirits and craft beers at the great restaurants and local retailers in Downtown Steamboat Springs. Each Stroll stop presents a different selection of wines, beers, or spirits and delicious culinary morsels, allowing patrons to acquaint themselves with the variety of enchanting establishments that Steamboat has to offer. Toast of Steamboat

Gondola Square
The grand finale of the weekend! The Toast of Steamboat hosts an impressive selection of domestic and international wines, premium craft beer and spirits, gourmet food purveyors, and live music. As the largest gathering of the Festival, this event features over 500 different wines and 20+ local restaurants. The Toast sits at the base of the mountain in beautiful Gondola Square providing a picturesque setting for the signature event of the weekend.
