 Enter this luxurious home and you will immediately fall in love with its romantic lodge feel. An oversized stone fireplace reaches up two stories to the exposed timber trusses. The grand stairway leads to the balcony overlooking the room below. Colorful light fixtures and unique tile work are featured throughout. Chapelco Lodge is named for the ski area in San Martin de los Andes in Argentina which is Steamboat's South American sister city.
The second floor balcony overlooks the Great Room below where the stone work complements the large picture windows looking up at the ski mountain. The Great Room connects the living area with dining area adjacent to the professionally equipped kitchen with Thermador gas range and Sub Zero refrigeration. The adjacent butler's pantry with wine refrigerator offers additional space for drink service, convenient for the kitchen, dining and Great Room. The beautiful hand-finished round dining table seats 10 with additional seating at the kitchen bar for four. All six bedrooms have internet-enabled LCD TVs and five bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The large bunk room to sleep 4-6 has exquisite views of the Steamboat Ski Area. The lower level recreation room has gas fireplace, 60" LCD screen TV and PS3 Video game system and 9' pool table and features a wet bar with seating for four for convenient entertaining. The Chapelco Lodge layout provides ample space for entertaining as a large group or providing adults and kids their own space. The covered front deck beckons guests to sit in one of the Adirondack chairs in front of the outdoor, gas fireplace and enjoy the mountain sunset or the evening snowfalls in warmth and comfort. Guests will appreciate the fine details such as: the unique tile work in each bathroom, cedar shake roof, a gourmet kitchen, beautiful Carlyle wide plank Hickory floors, and custom metal work. A two car garage is attached though vehicles are not needed in the winter as complimentary shuttle service picks up from the driveway.
