robin.jpgRobin Craigen : President / CEO

Many years in the European Ski Travel industry in the 80's,including two years working in chalets in the French Alps, provided the experience to develop a luxury lodging and catered chalet program in Steamboat Springs.

He is a keen skier and snowboarder in the winter, taking advantage of the many powder days that come each year.  In summer, he bikes everywhere both on the mountain and around the many roads in the valley and serves on the board of Routt County Riders, the local bicycle club and cycling advocacy group.  His passion is endurance racing and in 2011 he completed the Leadville 100 MTB race in under 10 hours.

Robin's organizational skills always kept the ship running smoothly in the islands. As a professional yachtsman for several years, he covered many ocean miles. He has competed in many international regattas and offshore races including the Sydney-Hobart, Newport - Bermuda, New York - Southampton Trans-Atlantic, and Fastnet Races.

She has skied since her high school years but switched to snowboarding onarrival in Steamboat. Now she alternates between the two disciplines as she attempts to keep up with her kids, Maddie & Chili.

sarahb2.jpgSarah Boerger : Sales Manager

After visiting Steamboat annually over the past 8 years, Sarah finally made it home in 2011. Raised enjoying the mountains and outdoors in Washington State, she loves the added bonus of almost daily sunshine that Colorado brings. Sarah has traveled throughout South East Asia, Australia, and taken many lengthy road trips discovering all corners of America.

She found her love for the hospitality industry while working 3 years at a boutique property on the waterfront in Seattle. She has made a career in hospitality and marketing and is excited to bring her passion to Moving Mountains and helping our guests create memorable experiences in Steamboat.

Alex Pallut

Alex Pallut : Guest Services Specialist / Special Projects Manager

Alex's love for the outdoors brought her to Steamboat Springs over ten years ago when she traded rainy England for the Rocky Mountains. Since then, she has worn many hats including summer camp director, international travel guide, jewelry designer and most currently as a yoga instructor and mother. Alex joined the Moving Mountains team in 2009 to work within the Guest Services department.

Working with Moving Mountains has been the perfect fit for Alex - she feels lucky that she can now create memorable vacations while enjoying life at home in Steamboat. Since the birth of baby Jade, Alex is enjoying the joys of motherhood and working part time.

Ben EadesBen Eades : Operations Manager

Ben moved to Telluride after years of working in industrial plants as a plant manager and maintenance manager. The lure of the mountains was finally too much for him and he moved to Colorado. After spending most of a decade in Telluride working for the exclusive Franz Klammer Lodge, Ben joined Moving Mountains to pursue new challenges while remaining in the state he loves.

Ben enjoys anything that allows him to spend time outside in the mountains. His first passion is skiing, but he also enjoys boarding, fly fishing, and numerous miles on his motorcycle touring our beautiful state. Ben enjoys cooking, whether it is making Mexican food, grilling or spending the day tending to a smoker full of different meats.

emily.jpgEmily Keiss : Accounting Supervisor

Emily is one of the few who can truly call herself a “local” being born and raised in the Steamboat area and developing a love of the outdoors at an early age. After graduating from high school, she obtained her accounting degree in Durango where she remained and worked until Steamboat beckoned her to return.

Emily enjoys anything outdoors which includes: skiing, whether Nordic or tele, hiking, backpacking, and biking. She has traveled extensively throughout Colorado including a summer spent backpacking the entire Colorado trial. Emily refuses to let one day go by without getting outside and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Steamboat, or as she calls it, “Home”.

Gunter von AhnGunter von Ahn : Maintenance

Born and raised just north of New York City, Gunter arrived in Steamboat in summer 2012.  While rafting in the area with his family he was captivated by the community and environment.  Four weeks later he packed up his life and made the long trip west and arrived with his son to start a life in the mountains of Colorado.  With a lifetime spent in general construction he has acquired all the skills needed to keep our portfolio of homes in perfect condition.

Gunter thrives in the outdoors, hiking and rafting in summer and in winter he loves ripping down the ski trails in Steamboat which are quite a contrast to his experiences of skiing the East Coast of the US!
