In the winter the main focus of attention is the Steamboat Ski Area. People travel from around the world to enjoy some of the greatest powder snow conditions in North America. Steamboat is also ranked the #1 Family ski resort in the west with a world renowned Kids-Ski-Free program and friendly mountain community.

Enjoy the famous Steamboat Champagne Powder® while skiing or snowboarding the snow in the trees for the most avid powder hounds. Remember, the term Champagne Powder® was coined in Steamboat and this is the only place you’ll find it!
