Steamboat 50th + Moving Mountains 15th
In January 12, 1963 a little ranch town called Steamboat Springs decided to open their not-so-little ski mountain to the public.
Then called Storm Mountain,” 50 years later it would prove to be one of the most popular ski destinations in the world, appropriately dubbed “Ski Town, USA” - both for it’s spectacular skiing, and also it’s record number of homegrown and trained Olympians.
“We’ll be celebrating 50 years of Steamboat memories….”
Yes, this season’s a milestone for Steamboat; let the celebrations begin! We’ll be celebrating 50 years of: skiing Champagne Powder, ducking through Closets & Shadows, racing down Heavenly Daze, making epic laps on Morningside Chair, watching our children learn to get their skis under their wobbly young legs, enjoying aprés cocktails while watching alpenglow sunsets over Mt. Werner, having snowball fights then jumping into the hot tub…and so much more.
“….and 15 years of moving mountains for our guests.”
At Moving Mountains we celebrate 15 years of being a part of this exceptionally unique ski town. As Steamboat has grown, so have we, expanding the range of options available to skiers coming in search of exceptional hospitality to compliment the World renowned ski mountain.
Our focus has been, and remains, to create memorable vacations in exceptional mountain homes.
From one chalet in 1998 we now manage over 40 of the very finest vacation homes with an unparalleled selection of premier private homes; exclusive slope-side residences at One Steamboat Place and Edgemont and just recently The Highmark at the base of the mountain village.
