It’s April and that means spring skiing in Steamboat. It also means a fabulous aprés scene after: nice weather, friends, and drinks outside in the warm sun make for one great afternoon (and possibly evening). So what are some of Steamboat’s best aprés spots in the spring? Pretty much anywhere with an outdoor space will fit the bill, but here are our favorites:
Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant: Rooftop Patio – need we say more? Plus, they have famous margaritas to boot so you’re sure to find a good time on top of their festive patio overlooking downtown Steamboat.
Truffle Pig: Located at One Steamboat Place, right next to the Gondola the Truffle Pig offers a grand outdoor patio where you can enjoy that post ski-day euphoria accompanied by tasty snacks and casually elegant cuisine.
Slopeside Grill: Ski right to your favorite chair. Be sure to take off some layers, because you’ll be basking in the afternoon sun while watching the late-day skiers come down. Enjoy their daily drink specials and some of the best low-key appetizers on the mountain.
Mambo’s: Mambo’s outdoor patio offers plenty of seating and indoor/outdoor bar. Get your Italian on with their inspired appetizers and daily happy hour. They don’t open until 5:30, so you’ll have time to clean up and head downtown after a long day in the sun on the mountain.
