Take a day of skiing with Olympians at a world-class ski resort – Steamboat – and mix in a good cause – fighting cancer – and you make for one heck of a good day! In fact, some people said last year that Ski 4 Yellow was the “best day on the mountain all year.”
Ski 4 Yellow is a LIVEstrong partnered event, so raising awareness and money for cancer-fighting causes is at it’s core, but it’s also about FUN. The event is all day March 31, 2012, and participants will spend the day with Olympians – some of the most celebrated athletes in the skiing world – alongside as their guides completing these challenges:
- Ride every chairlift on the mountain
- Complete NASTAR course
- Ski the most vertical
- Ride Maverick’s (half-pipe & skier/boarder cross course)
- Visit key landmarks
- Venture down expert terrain
Interested? You can register for the event here.
You can also attend the Yellow Tie Cocktail Party fundraising event on March 30, 2012 at Strings Music Pavilion. Mingle with Olympians and famous athletes while enjoying complimentary beer, wine, and heavy appetizers. There will also be a cash bar and silent auction, featuring one-of-a-kind items ranging from wonderful local retail products to fantastic travel and recreational experiences in some of the most beautiful locations around the world. You can purchase tickets and Ski 4 Yellow Bowties here.
Ski for Yellow is a signature event of the 4 Yellow Foundation which raises money for the fight against cancer both Nationally through LIVEstrong and Locally in Steamboat through granting to local cancer services. To date the 4 Yellow Foundation Events have raised over $1 million.
If you like Ski 4 Yellow, be sure to think about participating in its sister summer event, Ride 4 Yellow.
