Steamboat Snow Bonanza - and more coming!

Snow comes to town

Snow comes to town

Winter weather has been lining up over Steamboat for the last week.

Over 2 feet of Champagne Powder fell boosting the mid-mountain base to 56″, with 164 trails open (100%) - including the famed tree-skiing of Shadows, Closets and Pioneer Ridge. It has been a powder lovers paradise!

The pattern looks set to continue so there is lots to look forward to with the holiday weekend approaching.

… ANOTHER POTENT WINTER STORM IS EXPECTED LATE THIS WEEKEND…

WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL POTENTIALLY RETURN TO MUCH OF EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO BY SUNDAY AS THE NEXT STORM IMPACTS THE AREA. THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO DEPART THE REGION BY MONDAY AFTERNOON.

AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THAT SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE IN THE MODERATE CATEGORY… ALTHOUGH LOCAL AREAS OF HEAVIER SNOW CAN BE ANTICIPATED. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE STRONG WINDS AND WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN RANGES OF EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO.
