The staff at Moving Mountains would like to say a collective and enthusiastic, “thank you!” for another great ski season in Steamboat Springs, Colorado!

The 2009-2010 season was an exciting year for us in so many ways, yet it would not have been without our amazing staff, local partners, home owners, and of course, our guests!  Since our  beginning in 1997,  our motto has been, “You come as guests, you leave as friends.” We are very grateful to have so many friends!

We entered this season by adding several new homes - both those newly constructed and those that were new to our company. This year we were very pleased to welcome the One Steamboat Place Slopeside Residences into our collection and specifically we added: the Diamond Peak Penthouse, Buffalo Mountain Residence and the Beaver Mountain Residence. We look forward to adding many more residences from One Steamboat Place in the near future. We were also delighted with the additions of: Arctic Fox Chalet, Chateau at Trail’s Edge, Lookout Lodge, Over the Edge Chalet and Victorian Lodge. All of these homes share the same level of luxury as our other homes and it was exhilarating to offer so many outstanding choices! Thank you to all of our owners for working with us!

With the expansion of properties also came the need for more staff. We added several new positions and brought  new members to our team: Alex, Jim, Karen, Donna, Damon, Marc and Riley. We were once again well served by our veteran returning staff: Elisabeth, Britta, Tony, Raul, Lulu and Robin & Heather. If there are any names you do not recognize, please visit our website for the Chalet Team and the Management Team.

Steamboat Ski Resort - primed for growth

The Steamboat Ski Area - one of many things that bring us here

We chose to locate our business here because Steamboat Springs has so much to offer.  We could not make your vacation as pleasurable without our local partners: Black Tie Ski Rentals, Julie Tucek and her band of massage therapists, Baby’s Away, Saddleback Ranch, Steamboat Snowmobile Tours, Grizzle T, Steamboat Ski & Snowboard School office staff and all their instructors, Steamboat pre-sold Ticket Office, West End Liquor, Central Park Liquor and Go Alpine Taxi. It is teamwork and dedication to excellent customer service that helps make vacationing with Moving Mountains Chalets both special and unique.

Skiing the trees in Shadows

Skiing the trees in Shadows

While this year the snowfall was more infrequent than in year’s past, we reached an accumulative 261.75 inches. The good news is that historically speaking,  light snowfall years have, more often than not, been followed by significant snowfall! Nevertheless, we all enjoyed the skiing and snowboarding as the quality of our snow was maintained throughout the season, thanks to the ski area’s grooming crews.

Excited to hear about your arrival

We vastly enjoyed reconnecting with all of our returning guests and cherished the opportunity to meet our new guests from all over the world including New Zealand, South America, Europe and Malawi! Thank you for choosing Steamboat and Moving Mountains Chalets!
