Robin Craigen : President / CEO
Many years in the European Ski Travel industry in the 80's,including two years working in chalets in the French Alps, provided the experience to develop a luxury lodging and catered chalet program in Steamboat Springs.
He is a keen skier and snowboarder in the winter, taking advantage of the many powder days that come each year. In summer, he bikes everywhere both on the mountain and around the many roads in the valley and serves on the board of Routt County Riders, the local bicycle club and cycling advocacy group. His passion is endurance racing and in 2013 he completed the Leadville 100 MTB race in under 9 hours. He now has even bigger and wilder goals ahead.
Robin's organizational skills always kept the ship running smoothly in the islands. As a professional yachtsman for several years, he covered many ocean miles. He has competed in many international regattas and offshore races including the Sydney-Hobart, Newport - Bermuda, New York - Southampton Trans-Atlantic, and Fastnet Races.
Heather Craigen : VP / Catering Director
Heather's cooking is legendary in Steamboat where she oversees the menus and food preparation for all of our chalets and catered events. She has appeared several times on Steamboat TV18's cooking show and breakfast TV and was featured on the cover of the Food Section of the Denver Post.
Her cooking career began on a yacht in the Caribbean and she refined herskills at Cordon Bleu, the Culinary Institute of America, and at the International School of Baking in Oregon. She has authored her own cookbook- "Simple Pleasures" which highlights some of her most successful creations, plus many old favorites.
She has skied since her high school years but switched to snowboarding onarrival in Steamboat. Now she alternates between the two disciplines as she attempts to keep up with her kids, Maddie & Chili.
Genevieve Murphy : Lead Sales Associate
Genevieve hails from Australia having spent time traveling the World before landing in Steamboat. In Europe she worked in catered chalets and so her connection to Moving Mountains began before she even knew of Steamboat.
Gen's local expertise, and enthusistic energy is behind many memorable guest vacations; helping to find the perfect home and plan all the extra details to create the perfect ski trip. She also enjoys the outdoors and can claim to have the largest collection of bikes on the MM Team as her husband works at the lengenadry local bike maker - Moots.
Megan Schuetz : Sales Associate
Meghan and her husband have called Steamboat home for over a decade.
Migrating from the flatlands of the Midwest she is still an avid “Cheesehead” to this day. Her experience in the hospitality industry began as a means to pay for her bachelor’s degree, from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
Meghan’s tenure in Steamboat has given her an extensive knowledge of everything the Yampa Valley has to offer, helping to create exceptional vacations for Moving Mountains guests.
The Steamboat motto, "Work hard and Play hard" has become a way of life for Meghan.
With intense dedication and training she has earned a black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate.
In her off time you will find Meghan in the outdoors whether it is camping, snowboarding or hiking with her 120lb Leonberger, Sequoia. This love for the outdoors has manifested its self in a strong love for travel, taking her to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and all over North America.
Andy Weynand : Operations Manager
Andy is a hospitality professional with 22 years of experience serving guests and owners in Steamboat Springs. Prior to joining Moving Mountains, Weynand worked 20 years for Steamboat Resorts and Wyndham Vacation Rentals as general manager for multiple properties and ultimately as vice president of operations for the East Coast. He is experienced in operating mature, established properties as well as opening new projects, incorporating acquisitions and managing high-value capital projects and remodels.
Outside of work, Weynand has served as president of the Steamboat Lake Water and Sanitation District and enjoys volunteering in his children’s schools and sports activities. Andy is an avid alpine and cross country skier in winter and summers are filled with archery practice, cycling and hiking with his family.
Emily Keiss : Accounting Manager
Emily is one of the few who can truly call herself a “local” being born and raised in the Steamboat area and developing a love of the outdoors at an early age. After graduating from high school, she obtained her accounting degree in Durango where she remained and worked until Steamboat beckoned her to return.
Emily enjoys anything outdoors which includes: skiing, whether Nordic or tele, hiking, backpacking, and biking. She has traveled extensively throughout Colorado including a summer spent backpacking the entire Colorado trial. Emily refuses to let one day go by without getting outside and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Steamboat, or as she calls it, “Home”.
