Free, all ages concerts in Gondola Square
The Steamboat Ski Area will again be rockin’ this spring as the Bud
Light Rocks the ‘Boat Free Music Series returns for the 12th season
offering a great mixture of various musical genre. The Rocks the 'Boat
series has brought together everything from bluegrass and New Orleans
style rhythm & blues to traditional Irish sounds. Bands play for two
uninterrupted hours right at the base of the ski area where
non-skiing/riding music enthusiasts of all ages are able to enjoy the
spring après-scene.
Los Lonely Boys: Five years after crossing into the mainstream with the GRAMMY winning
single "Heaven," the brothers take this opportunity to invoke the sound
of a generation that walked the moon and transcended Woodstock. They
lend praise to songs that provided a soundtrack for so many and inspired
their own multi-platinum success. With their signature blend of Latin
rhythms, searing guitar leads and impeccable harmonies, the band takes
the opportunity to trace their musical lineage through the following
tracks Carlos Santana's "Evil Ways," The Beatles' "She Came In Through
the Bathroom Window," Tony Joe White's "Polk Salad Annie," and The
Doors' "Roadhouse Blues."
Free concert dates include: February 26, March 4, 19, 26, April 2 and 10, 2011
