Steamboat Springs Free Summer Concert: The Emmitt-Nershi Band

Friday, August 20 2010, 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Part of the Steamboat Springs Free Summer Concert Series

With years of collective experience under their belts, Drew Emmitt and Bill Nershi exemplify the forward-thinking modern bluegrass musician. As linchpins of two legendary jam-bands, Drew with Leftover Salmon and Bill with the String Cheese Incident, both men have done the stadium-filling, high-profile rock ‘n’ roll thing to perfection. Along the way, they’ve honed their songwriting and playing chops and studied the bluegrass, rock and jazz masters they admire. Above all, Drew and Bill have shared a commitment to keeping music human-scaled and honest.

The show is at historic Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with an opening band followed  the main act at 7:00. There will be food vendors, kids activities and beer sales at the concert. Please no dogs or outside alcohol.
