Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of winter and summer operations including property care & maintenance, vehicle maintenance, shuttle drivers and contractor relations. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate records of all activities so that accounting functions can be performed efficiently and effectively while directing operations of all properties managed by Moving Mountains including coordination of maintenance, spa services, detailed pre-arrival checks and post departure checks.

The Operations Manager supervises and trains all employees involved with maintenance, driving, and other services provided by Moving Mountains to property owners and guests. The Operations Manager position requires strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) in interacting with senior-management, operations team employees and contractors, as well as an underlying commitment to the guests staying in Moving Mountains properties.

The Operations Manager should have previous supervisory experience, strong time management skills, great attention to detail in maintaining accurate and consistent documentation, solid people skills and a dedication to providing guests with hassle-free memorable vacations.

The position of Operations Manager requires you to ensure there is sufficient coverage of your department, make sure there are no gaps in department needs & requirements and to meet the department goals and objectives. Physical Requirements

This position involves both office and outside based work and requires an individual to:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers license.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds,  occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Stand outside in freezing temperatures and inclement weather for extended periods and walk on slippery surfaces.
  • Able to get in and out of a vehicle.
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must be able to reach, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, crawl & walk.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to learn all aspects of building maintenance in a resort environment.

Education, Training and Experience

College Degree:

  • Account Management or Property Management experience.
  • Clean Drivers License and Background check.
  • Prior supervisory experience with strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.

Technical Skills and Prior Experience

  • Extremely detail orientated.
  • Knowledge of home maintenance and repair.
  • Good with logistics and coordination of maintenance tasks.
