Alpine Skiing
 Steamboat Ski Area
offers World-Class skiing, its famous Champagne Powder snow, and some of the finest tree skiing in the world. There are trails for all levels and even beginners can enjoy the breathtaking view from the top of the
Gondola to the Flattops before taking turns on a beginner run.
Night skiing is available at Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs. It is Colorado's oldest ski area in continuous use having opened in 1915. If you are lucky, you may be able to witness some ski jumping at the area's Nordic Skiing complex.
There are a variety of ski rental companies in Steamboat. We recommend
Black Tie Ski Rentals - they offer a great service and can provide you
with the right equipment for your ski ability.

Snowboarding
Steamboat's terrain park is a playground especially for snowboarders
and even has its own chairlift. The park features terrain for all
ability levels, an outdoor sound system, professional designed rails
and jumps.
Freeriders will have fun with Mavericks, the longest superpipe in North America; 18-foot
walls, 56 feet wide, 22-foot transitions, and 500 feet long!
Cross country / Nordic
The Steamboat Ski Touring Center offers groomed cross country ski
trails, winding through the aspen groves and along beautiful Fish
Creek, one of the most enjoyable and accessible wintertime recreation
area in the Yampa Valley.
The Center also offers top level adult and child rental equipment:
Fischer's Nordic Cruising skis and boots, Salomon boots and bindings,
and Cresent Moon snowshoe rentals.
The ski school of the Steamboat Ski Touring Center specializes in
teaching all the basic techniques and how to ski most efficiently.

Powder Cat Skiing
 On 10,000 acres of permitted snowcat skiing terrain on Buffalo Pass,
just 20-min. from downtown Steamboat Springs, Steamboat Powdercats
offers a powder snow experience that will be one of your best days skiing
or snowboarding ever.
Powdercats divides the guests between three snow cats according to their
ability level so that skiing and riding the terrain match their deep
powder skills. A day with Steamboat Powdercats will reward you with
that classic powder day you deserve.
