Robin Craigen : President / CEO
Many years in the European Ski Travel industry in the 80's, including two years working in chalets in the French Alps, provided the experience to develop a luxury lodging and catered chalet program in Steamboat Springs.
He is a keen skier and snowboarder in the winter, taking advantage of the many powder days that come each year. In summer, he bikes everywhere both on the mountain and around the many roads in the valley. He founded the Board of Directors and served as President of Routt County Riders, the local cycling club. His passion is endurance bike racing and has completed races that include the Leadville 100 MTB, Joberg2C, Park City Point 2 Point and L'Etape du Tour. As a professional yachtsman for several years, he covered many ocean miles competing in international regattas and offshore races including the Sydney-Hobart, Newport-Bermuda, and the Fastnet Race.
As President / CEO of Moving Mountains he is delighted to lead a strong, energetic and talented team dedicated to providing the best vacation experiences in Colorado.
Heather Craigen : VP / Catering Director
Heather's cooking is legendary in Steamboat where she oversees the menus and food preparation for all of our chalets and catered events. She has appeared several times on Steamboat TV18's cooking show and breakfast TV and was featured on the cover of the Food Section of the Denver Post.
Her cooking career began on a yacht in the Caribbean and she refined her skills at Cordon Bleu, the Culinary Institute of America, and at the International School of Baking in Oregon. She has authored her own cookbook "Simple Pleasures" which highlights some of her most successful creations, plus many old favorites.
She has skied since her high school years but switched to snowboarding on arrival in Steamboat. Now she alternates between the two disciplines as she attempts to keep up with her kids, Maddie and Chili.
Kelly Ornberg : Sales Manager
With 12 years of sales and customer service management in healthcare, Kelly is a seasoned sales professional. Prior to joining Moving Mountains, she was a regional sales director for a senior living company and supported multiple sales directors and associates. She holds a degree in Marketing and Communications from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Kelly moved to Denver in 2005 with a job transfer.
She met her husband Dave shortly after the move to Denver and 3 years ago fulfilled their dream and moved to Steamboat Springs, CO. Kelly and Dave have 2 boys Cohen and Anders, and when they aren’t busy with family and work, they enjoy everything Steamboat has to offer. A few favorites are mountain biking, skiing, camping, hockey and triathlons. In addition, she enjoys good food, good friends, champagne and laughing.
Peggy Axtell : Reservations Supervisor
Peggy has worked in the ski industry in customer service and marketing for many years. She grew up skiing on the east coast and after her husband and son came to Steamboat for a ski race, the family made the move from New York. They love their new life in the mountains and enjoy sharing their enthusiasm for Steamboat with many visitors.
Peggy has enjoyed fundraising for non-profits and event planning. She loves to help families plan their reunions, ski trips and summer vacations to Steamboat.
With three teenagers, she and her husband are busy enjoying all that Steamboat has to offer, including hiking, biking, hunting and skiing.
Erin Orr : Guest Services Supervisor
Erin visited Steamboat for the first time 17 years ago with the Iowa State University Ski Club. As the Social Chair and Vice President for the club, she planned many events and trips for club members. After college, Erin spent some time exploring Oregon where she coordinated events for Clif Bar and Underdog Sports League. She has called Steamboat home for the past eight years, 6 of which have been in the vacation planning industry.
During the winter, when she’s not assisting with your vacation, you can find Erin carving down the slopes of Mount Werner with a big smile on her face. In the summer, Erin tubes the Yampa River, bikes, swims, camps, plays volleyball, softball, kickball and just loves being outside. Erin's bubbly personality follows her professionally, and she genuinely cares about providing a care-free experience for guests. She is happy to be part of such a great team with Moving Mountains and share with you everything Steamboat has to offer.
Raul Leon : Reservations Specialist / Latin American Sales
Raul has become an integral team member at Moving Mountains and he has been in Steamboat long enough to almost be considered a local. Year-round he is an important member of our Reservations Team working with our many Latin American guests and in Winter he trains and directs the Catered Chalet Team. His knowledge and enthusiasm for Steamboat is evident as soon as you meet him.
Raul hails from Mexico City but has also lived in Ecuador, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Kyrgyzstan before making a home in Steamboat. He likes to snowboard and gets out on the mountain whenever the chance presents itself. Raul's many other talents include an amazing ability to smile at all times - which always goes down well with people on vacation!
Andy Weynand : Operations Manager
Andy is a hospitality professional with 22 years of experience serving guests and owners in Steamboat Springs. Prior to joining Moving Mountains, Weynand worked 20 years for Steamboat Resorts and Wyndham Vacation Rentals as general manager for multiple properties and ultimately as vice president of operations for the East Coast. He is experienced in operating mature, established properties as well as opening new projects, incorporating acquisitions and managing high-value capital projects and remodels.
Outside of work, Weynand has served as president of the Steamboat Lake Water and Sanitation District and enjoys volunteering in his children’s schools and sports activities. Andy is an avid alpine and cross country skier in winter and summers are filled with archery practice, cycling and hiking with his family.
Stephanie Stevenson : Assistant Operations Manager
Stephanie was born and raised in Southern California. Steph moved to Steamboat with her husband and 4 daughters to live the Colorado dream, which she is enthusiastically doing while working at Moving Mountains.
Stephanie is a detailed oriented professional with an eye for perfection. Her goal is to have all of our residences shine while exceeding the expectations of each owner and guest. Stephanie is responsible for organizing, scheduling and overseeing the daily functions of our operations team. When not at work you’ll find Steph enjoying both summer and winter outdoor sports with her family and Bernese Mountain Dog Beau.
Ron Carter : Maintenance Technician
Ron has spent a great deal of his life in Colorado, starting out in Carbondale near Aspen. He has also lived in Alaska and Mexico - from one extreme of the continent to another He has also spent a great deal of time as a Steamboat local enjoying the fishing and wildlife that surround us in every direction.
Ron's problem solving skills and technical knowledge make him invaluable when we are busy and we receive calls from guests looking for assistance with a system or amenity in our complex luxury homes. Whatever the issue Ron is a key part of our troubleshooting team when it comes to fixing things and keeping everyone happy. We provide 24-7 coverage for any needs so you might meet Ron at any time of the day. Regardless he's always very cheerful and full of energy to help with any issue!
